Additional clarification regarding my complaint
My journey was on Train No. 22588 – Amrit Bharat Express, from BNRS to SDAH on 14 August 2026. However, the Train No. mentioned/written on the Excess Fare Ticket issued by the TTE appears to be incorrect.
Also, my 9-year-old son was travelling without a separate berth. The TTE charged ₹250 as fare + ₹500 as excess fare + ₹1 luggage = ₹751.
I request the Railway authorities to kindly:
Verify the correct train number (22588) against my PNR 2460381791 and the TTE's Excess Fare Ticket.
Verify the rule and calculation under which ₹500 excess fare was charged for a 9-year-old child.
Provide the applicable rule/calculation in writing.
If any excess amount was wrongly collected, kindly refund the excess amount.
I have the original ERS and the TTE-issued Excess Fare Ticket as proof.
Kindly include these points in the ongoing investigation and provide the final decision.
